Team C & Team D - 2200
JK's tips: Try to reach like 15 mins earlier if possible!
Venue:
Cafe in MacRitchie Reservoir
JK's tips: It will be good if the leaders can liase together and maybe meet up at a common place before heading out? From what I know, the J2s are having dinner (and maybe supper) together so you guys might want to join them? (Thanks Jia Ying for having the initiative to get the required information from me first!)

-Night hike shirt (given on the day itself)
-Track pants
-Shoes (STRONGLY ENCOURAGE TO WEAR TRACK SHOES AS I BELIEVE YOU GUYS WILL BE RUNNING ALOT.)

-Flashlight + spare batteries
-Whistle
-Insect repellent
-Water (1.5l -2l)
-Mobile food (Chocolate, energy bars etc.)
-$10 cash (optional)
JK's tips: What I suggest is for you guys to meet up before hand and maybe pool in some money to buy water and mobile foods like Natue Valley's Granola Bars (Trust me you will be hungry.) Please bring all the things required so as not to let your team down!
Some rules to note:
-Every group has a facilitator. Please listen to him/her at all times.
-No usage of mobile phones (GPS) allowed.
-No usage of any vehicles.
In case of wet weather, event might be postponed so pray hard it wouldn't rain etc.!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU GUYS GO! HAVE FUN AND WIN IT! :D

Our completion of 1star kayaking!
-;
Hi guys, this is a message from YuanXiang to all:
Thanks people for attending the kayaking course and those who have
helped in one way or another. Really appreciate your cooperation and hope that
you have learned many stuff and had fun during this course. Firstly, i like to
say sorry to group 2 as i promised that i would be there to ensure everything
is explain thoroughly but i was sick ever since friday with a fever. Next, i
would like to thank weile and benjamin for helping me take charge on sunday. :DOkay, now since group 2 on the sunday decided that the 60 dollars are to be refunded while Group 1 on
the friday decided that the 60dollars be donated to odac fund, we have to
follow the majority and refund the 60dollars. It will be 1 dollar each for everyone.
the remaining 13 dollar will go back ODAC fund still as it is impossible
tosplit exactly for everyone unless someone is willing to split and distribute
to people. For collection, i will inform you all later.
Btw, if someone have any complains on the amount of money refunded please tell
me (and dun just complain to everyone else) and come forward to distribute the
money to everyone yourself. Thanks.
Also, if any J1s would like to help me distribute the money to the members,
please come volunteer too.

Belumut Trek
-;
Hey guys! Our seniors are offering a chance to trek with them this coming June holidays! They are looking for people to go on a trek to Belumut together around the 2nd week of the June holidays.
It will just be a one day thing meaning we will ascend and descend the mountain within a day so there won't be any staying overnight whatsoever. Cost of the fee should be around $50+. So if you guys are interested please let your MGLs know latest by the end of this week cause your seniors got to plan for it.
Do take note that this is NOT a school-based trip. Its a self-organised trip by our seniors so you are responsible for your own safety. It will be a good experience for you guys! So do let us know how you feel about it!
Have a great day! :D

Hi guys, this is a message from Yuanxiang to all J1s and J2s:
Okay, hi people. The 23rd may session is no more. Now, the remaining session dates are 16th, 18th and 20th. The 16th may session will be as usual, report at 2.30pm at the shell area. There are 2shifts on both 18th(friday, a holiday) and 20th(sunday) sessions.
Shift 1: 9am-1pm and Shift 2: 2pm-6pm.
Everyone have to make it for at least 2 shifts. This is COMPULSORY.
In order to make things not so complicated and less time consuming, everyone will be either taking the 2 shifts(the whole day) on friday or taking the 2 shifts(the whole day) on sunday.
Firstly, all J1s who have told me that you are able to make it on the sunday for both shifts. You are automatically placed in the 20th may session. All J2s will be placed and the rest will be placed in the Friday session.
I know some of you will have CLC camp, so please tell me who you are by tmr. Then i will arrange your slots accordingly.
If you are UNABLE to make it for the straight two shifts for both days, please sms me ASAP. I will also change your slots accordingly. Those who have stuff that can be rearrange on another dates please do. since there is this session is only a 1 time thing so please try to make it.
NOTE: If you do not go for at least 2 slots for the kayaking session, you may not get your kayaking certificate and there will be no refund. I do not hold responsible for you not getting your kayaking certificate.
Also, note that you MUST inform me thru sms or thru your friends the reason that you are not attending for the wednesday sessions. Not the teachers, but me.
Next, i will be returning you all 1 dollar each for the 1 bus trip on the 23rd may that will be cancel since there is no more 23rd may session.
Another thing, I understand that all J1s chinese students would have your Oral on the 16th wednesday. From what i have heard, you all are given an alternative date for your Oral practice. So please do change your oral practice to the other date which i tink is the 19th?. Priscilla(j1) could you help to inform all j1 chinese students again? Thank you very much.
Lastly, any questions please sms me straight. 92959953

ODAC has also held a year-end expedition to Pulau Ubin for the whole college in 2011. In addition, ODAC has also achieved at least 1 star in kayaking as well as attended a Windsurfing course.
For more information, please refer to the blog for future updates or feel free to approach any NYODACIANS.
History
NY ODAC was established in 1978 and was formerly known as OAC. The motto of OAC was
"The experience is YOURS".
During that time, OAC focused more on discipline and was more regimental as compared to the current ODAC. Mrs Koh was the teacher-in-charge then.
Furthermore, 4 marine groups, namely Blue Whale, Dolphin, Marlin and Stingray were initiated in the early years of OAC.
In 2003, Mr Thaddeus Lawrence took over the 1st ODAC. The 1st ODAC is also known as the 25th OAC and has a strength of about 20.
Mr Lawrence took part in the Sahara Desert Run in July 2009.
The motto of ODAC is
"Challenge your limits". As an odacian,we strive to explore and push our limits, be it physically or mentally, especially when participating in outdoors activities.
In addition, all odacians adhere to the following 8 qualities:
Commitment
Determination
Discpline
Integrity
Responsibility
Nature Appreciation
To have Adventurous Spirit
To be a good team player
In 2004, Mr Ong Jiun Hoe and Ms Yap Chiew Ring joined ODAC. ODAC engages in both land and water activities.
In 2005, Ms Lynette Poh joined the ODAC family, leaving in 2006.
In 2006, Ms Seah joined us and assisted Mr Ong in running the club, both stepping down in 2007.
In 2010, Mr Ong came back and together with the newly joined teachers, Mr Loy Suan Hui and Ms Chim Yi Hui, they run the club together.
In 2011, Ms Tan Shuyun, Ms Tan Yi Zhen Sherilyn and Mr Gurmit took over Odac.
NY ODAC has participated in various competitions which include the Adventure Race Singapore, Adventure Trail Challenge
and annual Vertical Marathon. Moreover, ODAC also participate in other activities such as the Outdoor Training Camps, Night Cycling and De Urbanised Traverse.
In 2012, Ms Tan Shuyun left the odac family, and Mr Gilbert Tay joined in.
In 2014, Mr Gilbert Tay left the odac family, and Mr Terence Lin joined in. Together with Mr Gurmit and Ms Tan Yi Zhen, they run the club.
