Article found Priscilla from http://www.brianmac.co.uk/articles/scni10a1.htmOf all the thing, i find this statement the most reliable. What causes Stitch?Liver, spleen, stomach, small intestine and colon form a weight of several kilograms and are attached by ligaments to the diaphragm. The impact of every step forces the inner organs to move downwards. The diaphragm moves up and down as you breathe. Maximum stress occurs when your lungs are empty of air and you strike the ground with your foot. Stitch occurs most often on the right hand side and this may be due to the fact the liver, being the heaviest organ, is attached to the right side of the diaphragm. While the pain of a stitch is usually felt just below the ribs, some athletes report a stabbing sensation at the tip of the shoulder blade or even as high as the shoulder. Shoulder pain can convince some athletes that they are having a heart attack. A quick way to tell if it is stitch or a heart attack is to lie down on your back with your hips and legs elevated. If you have a stitch, the pain should be relieved almost immediately.

Cycling FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q1 What if it rains in the morning, do i still have to cycle to school?
No. Cycling PT will be replaced with Land PT.
Q2 What if the road appears to be wet in the morning, do i still have to cycle to school?
Yes. Cycling to school is still considered safe.
Q3 Where do the rest park their bicycles in the day?
If your bicycles contain parts that are expensive under the examination criteria of Shaun, you will have the liberty to park it inside the store. (He will know from his experience, kindly respect his decision.)
For the rest of you, you will park at the place where we previously store firewood. If spaces are limited, we will make use of the other side of the staircase, where the pugilistic stands are. We would have canvas sheet to cover your bicycles.
Q4 Why can't I park my bicycle in anywhere of the school that i prefer and overnight?
Due to the large number of bicycles that we are going to have, the school deems them as fire hazards and would only allow those keeping overnight to be placed inside the store.
Q5 What will I do if I cannot attend cycling PT ?
A Land PT has been arranged for you people, you all will join Liling. Liling will be your PTI and Ming Jie will be the acting Assistant PTI. (Both of them hold the right during PT sessions to execute punishments to maintain discipline only, anyone who do not follow their instructions, will face the consequences.)
* We cannot have too large a group to attend this PT because splitting up the ODAC activities will render our activities unsafe because the cycling PT would eventually be split into as many as 3 sections. So we may have 4 activities in 4 different areas at the same time.
Note that:
On that day, some of you may be forced to cycle home if ODAC store cannot take in any more bicycles, which i think may happen so i seek your understanding.

History
NY ODAC was established in 1978 and was formerly known as OAC. The motto of OAC was
"The experience is YOURS".
During that time, OAC focused more on discipline and was more regimental as compared to the current ODAC. Mrs Koh was the teacher-in-charge then.
Furthermore, 4 marine groups, namely Blue Whale, Dolphin, Marlin and Stingray were initiated in the early years of OAC.
In 2003, Mr Thaddeus Lawrence took over the 1st ODAC. The 1st ODAC is also known as the 25th OAC and has a strength of about 20.
Mr Lawrence took part in the Sahara Desert Run in July 2009.
The motto of ODAC is
"Challenge your limits". As an odacian,we strive to explore and push our limits, be it physically or mentally, especially when participating in outdoors activities.
In addition, all odacians adhere to the following 8 qualities:
Commitment
Determination
Discpline
Integrity
Responsibility
Nature Appreciation
To have Adventurous Spirit
To be a good team player
In 2004, Mr Ong Jiun Hoe and Ms Yap Chiew Ring joined ODAC. ODAC engages in both land and water activities.
In 2005, Ms Lynette Poh joined the ODAC family, leaving in 2006.
In 2006, Ms Seah joined us and assisted Mr Ong in running the club, both stepping down in 2007.
In 2010, Mr Ong came back and together with the newly joined teachers, Mr Loy Suan Hui and Ms Chim Yi Hui, they run the club together.
In 2011, Ms Tan Shuyun, Ms Tan Yi Zhen Sherilyn and Mr Gurmit took over Odac.
NY ODAC has participated in various competitions which include the Adventure Race Singapore, Adventure Trail Challenge
and annual Vertical Marathon. Moreover, ODAC also participate in other activities such as the Outdoor Training Camps, Night Cycling and De Urbanised Traverse.
In 2012, Ms Tan Shuyun left the odac family, and Mr Gilbert Tay joined in.
In 2014, Mr Gilbert Tay left the odac family, and Mr Terence Lin joined in. Together with Mr Gurmit and Ms Tan Yi Zhen, they run the club.
