Cheers:: A legacy to remember
-;
Dear all,
it is time to revise our cheers again. Hurray~ These are three basic must learn cheers if you are an ODACian.
1) ODAC Official Cheer
We... (x 8 counts)
Come from the greatest club
We come from the ODAC
We come as a member of the great great club.
We fight for the victory
We fight for the glory
We fight with a spirit never known before!
ODAC ODAC all the way
We like it here (x2)
We found a home
A home
A home sweet home! (Wooh~~)
2) Rain No More cheer
(Easy and light hearted cheer)
They say that in the ODAC
the guys are mighty tough
But when you take a closer look
they look like curry puff
*Chorus*
Rain no rain no rain no moreRain no rain no more(x2)They say that in the ODAC
the girls are pretty chio
But when you take a closer look
they look like char siew
*Chorus*
They say that in the ODAC
the guys are mighty fine
But when you take a closer look
they look like porcupine
*Chorus*
They say that in the ODAC
the girls are pretty cute
But when you take a closer look
they make you wanna puke
*Chorus*
3) Pacing Cheer
(Purpose of these is to run in an orderly manner, regular pace so that you wouldn't remember your lethargy)
Left-Pause-Left-Pause-Left-Right
Nanyang
Left-Right
ODAC
Left-Right
All the way!
(Continue until you are at the same pace as the one in front of you. Or maybe your batch can decide yourselves when to end this cheer. The most ultimate goal is to hear everyone's stomping at the right pace.:)
My batch still have many more cheers like:
St. Peters Cheer
OTC Cheer
Drink Water Cheer (aka Lim Zui Cheer)
Underwear Cheer
Never Ending Cheer (when the moon shine high, in the clear blue sky..)
Xiao Wei (song, but still consider a cheer)
Flea Fly Cheer (any or all the components)
I shall teach the rest to you another time as soon as I can recall. :)
Meantime, please master these few cheers. See you people again soon. Oh yeah, anyway, Mr Ong's birthday is on the 17th Jul. Maybe he would like some coke? Geez

History
NY ODAC was established in 1978 and was formerly known as OAC. The motto of OAC was
"The experience is YOURS".
During that time, OAC focused more on discipline and was more regimental as compared to the current ODAC. Mrs Koh was the teacher-in-charge then.
Furthermore, 4 marine groups, namely Blue Whale, Dolphin, Marlin and Stingray were initiated in the early years of OAC.
In 2003, Mr Thaddeus Lawrence took over the 1st ODAC. The 1st ODAC is also known as the 25th OAC and has a strength of about 20.
Mr Lawrence took part in the Sahara Desert Run in July 2009.
The motto of ODAC is
"Challenge your limits". As an odacian,we strive to explore and push our limits, be it physically or mentally, especially when participating in outdoors activities.
In addition, all odacians adhere to the following 8 qualities:
Commitment
Determination
Discpline
Integrity
Responsibility
Nature Appreciation
To have Adventurous Spirit
To be a good team player
In 2004, Mr Ong Jiun Hoe and Ms Yap Chiew Ring joined ODAC. ODAC engages in both land and water activities.
In 2005, Ms Lynette Poh joined the ODAC family, leaving in 2006.
In 2006, Ms Seah joined us and assisted Mr Ong in running the club, both stepping down in 2007.
In 2010, Mr Ong came back and together with the newly joined teachers, Mr Loy Suan Hui and Ms Chim Yi Hui, they run the club together.
In 2011, Ms Tan Shuyun, Ms Tan Yi Zhen Sherilyn and Mr Gurmit took over Odac.
NY ODAC has participated in various competitions which include the Adventure Race Singapore, Adventure Trail Challenge
and annual Vertical Marathon. Moreover, ODAC also participate in other activities such as the Outdoor Training Camps, Night Cycling and De Urbanised Traverse.
In 2012, Ms Tan Shuyun left the odac family, and Mr Gilbert Tay joined in.
