Race5
-;
Hey here's another
adventure race from NUS ODAC. Its called race5. I received this via email from our 2nd batch senior, genevie. I wonder how she got my email. lol.
NUS ODAC invites you and your club this year once again to participate in our annually held amazing race. Currently in its 5th year running, RACE 5, promises to be an even bigger and exciting event. With a string of amazing sponsors and great prizes up to $2000 for grab, you'll sure not want to miss out on this great opportunity. Come join us in discovering locations and activities in Singapore you may have never heard of. Heard of Singapore legends or myths? You may just find the answer here with us.Race head to head with the other competing teams and see who can come out tops and last for all 3 days. We'll warn you, its gonna be tiring, you're gonna get dirty but that's what count! Ain't it? Head to our website www.nusodac.net/race5 or email racefive@gmail.com to register. And hurry cos of limited vacancies! For more information you can contact Huiqi @ 90886105.The 3 days are from 20th to 22nd july. So those going to mizuno cannot sign up for this already. Well for those who do not have anything on you may consider joining this race. Its a
3 day race, so I think its gonna be a much greater challenge than ATC.
Train hard if you are going! Again, I want to emphasize all the seniors' point on trainings.
More details in the website shown above.
Most J2s are already in the Mizuno run on 22nd july so there won't be any j2s to co-ordinate everything in this race. If you guys are interested, please co-ordinate among yourself, or the P/VPs can take charge.

History
NY ODAC was established in 1978 and was formerly known as OAC. The motto of OAC was
"The experience is YOURS".
During that time, OAC focused more on discipline and was more regimental as compared to the current ODAC. Mrs Koh was the teacher-in-charge then.
Furthermore, 4 marine groups, namely Blue Whale, Dolphin, Marlin and Stingray were initiated in the early years of OAC.
In 2003, Mr Thaddeus Lawrence took over the 1st ODAC. The 1st ODAC is also known as the 25th OAC and has a strength of about 20.
Mr Lawrence took part in the Sahara Desert Run in July 2009.
The motto of ODAC is
"Challenge your limits". As an odacian,we strive to explore and push our limits, be it physically or mentally, especially when participating in outdoors activities.
In addition, all odacians adhere to the following 8 qualities:
Commitment
Determination
