Hihi all ATC mates,
remember i told you guys to start running? yea~, i initially planned to build on my dist over the days till fri where sat will be a rest day...so there i go.... Sat: 10km , Sun: expected 12km but ended up 10km ...thanks to the slight blisters on my soles ...arhHhh...whatever...i wanted to say
1) Start running Now and have blisters..yea..have them now rather then you train like on Thur -.- and get blisters for the race
2) take care of yourselves before the race starts dun get injuried !
...
Tips for ATC (in my humble opinions la)
1) train up running !! never mind you stopped during any part of your route..bearing in mind ATC does not require you to complete the full running dist at one shot..get used to stop and run ..stop and run...so you can cover long dist regardless you are fit now or moderate
2) Tone up your body (not muscle building though)....Do whatever exercise you know...targeted at core muscle (abs), arms and legs...so fatigue set in less quickly and you are ready for the physical rigour of Atc..yea~....so do your exercise in small repetition...As long you do...it will be fine...no need for very intense..perhaps u can do so till thur at most..
Couresty of Jj blog--you can become prepare urself till like this..just make sure u can run
3) Run in small stride and higher frequency...most people find it easier to substain for longer dist...the higher frequency will make up for the shorten stride.... Try this out !
**Jia jie asked me to tell you guys about the gel packs ( thats alot above) so interested parties bring more $$ and inform jia jie that you are buying on TUE ..yea ~ ...recommended to buy...these things seem much useful for ATC than Vm -.- ...okie try to get a few of them to help you substain...remb to stock up on energy bars too !!!
Synchronised to the fastest pace, NY-Odac style

History
NY ODAC was established in 1978 and was formerly known as OAC. The motto of OAC was
"The experience is YOURS".
During that time, OAC focused more on discipline and was more regimental as compared to the current ODAC. Mrs Koh was the teacher-in-charge then.
Furthermore, 4 marine groups, namely Blue Whale, Dolphin, Marlin and Stingray were initiated in the early years of OAC.
In 2003, Mr Thaddeus Lawrence took over the 1st ODAC. The 1st ODAC is also known as the 25th OAC and has a strength of about 20.
Mr Lawrence took part in the Sahara Desert Run in July 2009.
The motto of ODAC is
"Challenge your limits". As an odacian,we strive to explore and push our limits, be it physically or mentally, especially when participating in outdoors activities.
In addition, all odacians adhere to the following 8 qualities:
Commitment
Determination
Discpline
Integrity
Responsibility
Nature Appreciation
To have Adventurous Spirit
To be a good team player
In 2004, Mr Ong Jiun Hoe and Ms Yap Chiew Ring joined ODAC. ODAC engages in both land and water activities.
In 2005, Ms Lynette Poh joined the ODAC family, leaving in 2006.

In 2011, Ms Tan Shuyun, Ms Tan Yi Zhen Sherilyn and Mr Gurmit took over Odac.
NY ODAC has participated in various competitions which include the Adventure Race Singapore, Adventure Trail Challenge
and annual Vertical Marathon. Moreover, ODAC also participate in other activities such as the Outdoor Training Camps, Night Cycling and De Urbanised Traverse.
